Our Services

The services that we provide are all geared towards making sure you achieve your goals and although pensions, investments and life assurance are all tools in our tool box, there’s a lot more to it than recommending a few financial products.

Learning All About You

The first part of our service is to learn all about you and what you’re looking to achieve in the future as it’s impossible to give you the right directions if we don’t know where you’re going.  There’s much more information about this stage of our service in What to Expect.

Financial Planning

Once we have sufficient information about your assets and liabilities, income and expenditure and future goals we’ll be able to put it all together into a Financial Plan. This allows you to see your ‘flight plan’ for the coming years and whether you’re on track to meet your objectives. We will then work with you to make sure you understand what it all means and what needs to happen to make it a reality.

We will then provide you with an action plan of the steps you need to take to bring your financial strategy to life and we will keep track of everything to make sure it all goes ahead in a timely fashion.

This is where we put into place all the recommendations we made in your financial plan. This might include setting up a new ISA, taking income or tax free cash from a pension or putting you in touch with a solicitor to arrange a new will. We will take our time to make sure you understand where each individual recommendation fits into the broader plan of helping you to make the most out of your life.

The implementation stage includes:

  • Ensuring you have sufficient cash in place for any short-term capital expenditure and to fall back on in an emergency.
  • Reviewing your existing investment and pension plans and the arrangement of any new policies that might be required.
  • The implementation of any Retirement Income Strategies such as taking income or tax free cash from a pension.
  • Reviewing of your existing financial protection products and the arrangement of any new policies that might be needed*.
  • Specialist pension planning such as the Annual Allowance, Lifetime Allowance and holding commercial property within a pension.
  • Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax management in relation to the income and gains generated by your pensions and investments.
  • Business planning including how this fits into your personal financial plan.
  • Recommendation of a reputable solicitor to prepare new wills or powers of attorney.
* Please note that the arrangement of any financial protection products such as life assurance, critical illness cover and income protection is not covered within our Client Service Plans.

Annual Review

Just as a pilot continually adjusts course during a flight, it is crucial to regularly adjust your financial plan for everything that life will throw at you. Often this will only lead to small changes like saving more into your pension. However, more significant life events such as career changes, having children, divorce or receiving an inheritance will require larger changes to your plan.

Each year at your annual review it’s our job to review:

  • Whether your end destination (i.e. what’s most important to you) is the still the same and make any changes to your plan that might be required if you need to head in a different direction.
  • Confirm any changes to your current position and discuss any affect this might have on your financial plan.
  • Check whether you’re still on track to meet all of your objectives within acceptable timescales and discuss any compromises that might need to be made along the way.
  • Recommend any action that needs to be taken to keep you on track and make sure your existing financial arrangements remain suitable for you.
  • Implement our recommendations in a timely fashion.
